Selected the Ridge Trail (access road) to avoid trashing fragile trails in these awful conditions.
Access road was damp, but generally not too muddy. No snow or ice encountered.
On the descent, I checked out a marked trail on the south side of the access road (different than the bypass trail). I found it to be circuitous with subpar footing in places, but it does cross the powerline at a nice view up the former single chairlift line. I had to retrace my steps, though, as the trail terminates at the ski slopes (beginner area) and I wasn't going to posthole them.
Yet another foggy day with temperatures in the 40s. Hopefully this stretch of weather is just about done. |
