Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Soooooo many areas of erosion and washing due to the rain and melting snow. Lots of small branches littering the trail along with a couple more significant blowdowns here and there, but nothing hard to step over or go around. I dug a few ditches to help with some drainage, but this trail needs some love.

Comments
Comments: Very wet day in the Whites. Decided, since the wind was so mild, to try for a Presi anyways. Got Madison, but it was raining harder, there was limited visibility, and what snow remained was eroding fast, so I called it there. Only saw a group of 3 and then 1 other person all day. Finally put my rock spikes (at least they are now) on about a half mile from the hut. Could probably do it without, but I'm not that daring when I'm solo. The cone has small patches of snow here and there, but nothing exciting. I've never seen so much water on this trail. I dug several ditches to the larger puddles and assisted some water bars in doing what they are supposed to, but there's still a lot to do. Lots of washing as well, so be careful which rocks you opt to use. I had a fairly sizable one roll right out of its hole cause it was so wet and I went with it! Nothing exciting, but made me nervous for the rest of my descent.
