Saw one cute pup who was wearing a parka. He seemed to be having a fun time. Booties might not be a bad idea for dogs because of the wet snow cover. |

| Comments: |
We were able to hike in bare boots most of the way. Traction is needed starting about a half mile from the summit due to ice beneath the snow that fell today. Rocks are very slippery. Waterproof boots and poles are pretty much a must for the water crossing which is running high and fast. Road walk in and out on Zealand was uneventful. Give yourself a bit of extra time for this hike as the snow and slippery conditions slow things down a bit. |
