Comments
Comments: Ended up barebooting it all the way to South Peak on Glencliff with no real problems -- having said that, I could have popped on spikes around 3500' and been happier on the sketchy climbs towards the end. A dusting and change all the way, packed down, rocks peeking thru. Ridge trail is mostly packed w/ rocks showing -- winter jumps out to greet you above tree line; a foot of powder here or there along the cairns -- trail packed, but drifting snow makes it hard to follow. Carriage is standing water most of the way down, along w/ trace snow and wet rocks. Last bit of Carriage before jct w/ Hurricane is muddy and tricky. Hurricane out to Glencliff is an adventure; lots of standing water, ice, hard to follow trail, and the occasional blow downs.
