Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues; all brooks in this area are currently flowing well.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No issues on the SRKG; the other trails are not formally maintained as far as I know. That said, the upper reaches of the mountain have a lot of blowdown and storm damage. Tuckerman's Trail was in the worst shape with lots of debris down, faded blazes, and obscure footway.

Comments
Comments: Every time I visit The Bulkhead I always seem to forget how steep and rugged the route is the farther in you get. :D

Mostly dry conditions with some small areas of mud. The top of the mountain got a dusting of new snow (I could see that Kearsarge got the same) but nothing requiring traction. Very small areas of black ice along Tuckerman's Trail. That trail is an adventure for sure; allow extra time as it's a rugged 0.6 mi. Lots of slippery leaves in here too.

The sunny forecast never materialized which was a bummer but it was still a good day out in the woods.
