Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: It was slick and a bit challenging, absolutely would not have made it across any of them if I didn’t have poles (I am quite short, however). Last crossing I went downstream by about 25 feet to cross. I did get across using rocks and crampons/spikes made it much better. Waterproof boots were also helpful

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dog did great, ice flows are avoidable for athletic dogs. Crossings would probably be tougher for a med or small size dog if not careful

Comments
Comments: Two different worlds right now from the trailhead vs about 1.5miles in. Dry smooth trail to start some mud with first but avoidable , spikes are helpful for all 3 water crossings if your rock hopping and not wading. Mix of ice and snow, spikes or crampons needed for areas as you near 3000 feet (wore them sooner myself on the way up and took off after the final water crossing).
