Very significant blowdowns, especially near the top of Crescent and north view point. Tricky actually to get through that part. More but lesser blowdowns off south side. |

Very nice loop. Bony down low with a little more snow up higher. Some icy rocks in places, but microspikes worked, and there are options. It is a little tricky coming off the steep icy part off the south view point; just take your time. Quite steep getting to summit/north viewpoint but ok until the giant blowdown near the top. Entire tree is down lengthwise. You have to pick your way through, but it can be done. No views today, but very pretty in the woods, and no one else there. |
