| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked on 16 and by close go trailhead. Spotted cars at rocky branch lot. At 7:15 there were about 7 cars there, at 8:45pm when we returned, only two that weren’t ours |

Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All were minor except that big one coming down rocky branch. It was a bit sketchy with deep and fast water I places. With some thought and use of waterproof boots we all made, using head lamps in the dark. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Besides the water running down rocky branch? Not much I can recal. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one. Glen boulder has some scrambles the could be tough for a dog. The rest of the trails are ok, rocky branch is wet. |

Most of the area has ~4” of fresh light powder on ground, and in trees. You will want a hood for the trees. Not allot of ice, so there is good traction until you get up high with more of a base and steeper slopes. Up GB, some used spikes, some trail crampons, some barefooted, until the first scramble. Then it was spikes all the way back to the cars at rocky branch. Once back in the trees after the GB, the trail is slow going, hard deep snow badly postholed and rutted and stiff trees down low in your face catching your pack. After boots spur heading down Davis path to isolation was fine above trees line, snow cover, and some knee deep drifts, but straight forward and good traction with spikes. Then more post holed mess to the peak once back in the trees. It was too dark to use bushwack so we went down rocky branch mostly with headlamps. Trail is a mess of water, ice, snow and rocks. But in 10” water proof boots with spikes. It wasn’t that bad. The water crossing was sketchy, but we all made it fine. Long day, but awesome views up high when it cleared. |
