The water crossings on Liberty Spring were all easily passable with rock hopping |

There were a few step-under trees between Little Haystack and the Liberty Springs intersection but they were easy enough to deal with |

| Comments: |
Trail conditions were relatively boney, with rocks visible all along the ridge. Light traction was sufficient and much of this loop could even be barebooted. The trail was much smoother higher up, where snow had been packed down prior to the big rain storm a few weeks ago, leaving behind a stable surface covering the rocks. The liberty springs descent was quite rocky and icy. |
