Mt Kinsman Trail started out dry and snow-free. By the 2nd mile there were a lot of snow-dusted ice flows, but still able to bare boot. I put on K-10's after the Bald Peak Spur; there were periodic hard ice flows up to the Kinsman Ridge Trail, and many more on the ridge. Others seemed to do just fine in sharp spikes, I really liked the extra bite from the K-10's. I kept them on for about a mile down the Mt Kinsman Trail and then switched to rock spikes, and then back to bare boot. Saw only 2 other peeps all day. |
