This report will be outdated in 24 hours, with a storm coming our way. But, in case anybody is going up tomorrow: I bare-booted up to Starr King, as it wasn't too hard to avoid the patchy ice down low, and the flows that covered the trail in a couple of spots higher up. From Starr King to Waubek, and all the way back to the trailhead, I wore rock spikes, just because falling downward is worse. Just traces of snow now, enough to cover some of the ice; so take care. |
