Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One blowdown of note, a small/medium sized tree across the trail, at about 2000' and just before you reach the Sandwich Range Wilderness area boundry sign. There was a step-over somewhere before that too (coming from the road). Saw the "Pind Bend" misspelled trail sign, providing comic relief after the work of climbing.

Comments
Comments: A lovely hike, saw only one other hiker who was a few hours ahead of me. Trails had a good amount of ice here and there, and little snow. All will change with the snow this weekend.
Ascending, put spikes on at the saddle that connects to Scaur Peak at about 3400'. Descending, took them off a little lower, probably about 2400' - considering putting them back on as it was colder than the morning, and I found ice on the trail til nearly the end.
Headlamp on about 5pm, finished at 5:35 in total darkness, with the sky over the Kanc filled with stars.
