Conditions were better than I expected. Just a few ice flows down low. River crossings were easy. Most of the trail was a thin covering of packed snow and spikes provided good traction even on the steep parts. The upper part of the loop had more snow and rocks were fully covered. We put spikes on at the first river crossing and kept them on back to the road. |
