Comments
Comments: For the first 2 1/2 miles, we used worn out microspikes on the mixed dry and icy trail.

1/2 mile past Mt. Surprise we hit the ice covered slab rock and donned our wonderful Hillsound Trail Pro crampons (no, we don't own stock) to climb safely to the summit of Moriah. Met a couple of guys wearing brand new microspikes and they did pretty well but acknowledged taking a few spills along the way. Overall a very great day with wonderful views from the summit.
