Water Crossing Notes: Not a problem as long as you avoid the shell ice aka fake ice bridges.

Trail Maintenance Notes: There was one blowdown that could be improved by some quick trimming of branches. Wished I'd brought my saw, but I didn't.

Comments: It will all change tonight and tommorrow, but one should be aware that beneath the new snow will be ice on the steep parts. Hard to say how slippery it will be. We used crampons from a little above Gem Pool the rest of the way up and back to about the same place. If you go after the storm with snowshoes, it will still be pretty rocky and probably icy as well.
