| Comments: |
High overcast clouds early lowered toward late afternoon, but views all around except very summits of Lafayette and Lincoln. Up Kinsman Ridge immediately icy with crusty snow along with ice from about half way up. Effective traction necessary to make progress safely all the way. KR is just as eroded as ever. Decision was made to go down HiCannon to avoid sketchy areas on KR, thus requiring 'road walk' back to car along bike path.
Slow day, but views from tower always a reminder of grand scale of surrounding terrain.
Kestrel data: T=25F W=very variable, only at tower and a couple spots WC=? |
