Comments
Comments: Based on the reviews previously provided, took the logging road that is ~ 0.6 miles west of the primary trailhead, between Sabbyday Falls and UNH/Potash parking lots to avoid the water crossing. Logging road had parking for 3 cars. Logging road an easy hike: dry, in excellent shape, and met the Potash trail .7 miles up. Trail blazed in yellow and was fairly easy with constant elevation gain for the first 1.5 miles, with switchbacks. Nice views from the ledges about 2/3rds of the way in (great view of My Chocorua). There was a dusting of snow with quite a few icy spots, but the spots were fairly easy to navigate around (spikes stayed in the pack). After the ledge, spent time climbing around/over various sized boulders to get to the top. Excellent views from the summit. Shortly after leaving the summit did a butt-slide for ~ 10-12 feet (seemed like the safest course of action given the environment). Did not see anyone else on my hike (started ~ 7:45am).
