Bare booted the road in fresh snow… put spikes on at the trailhead since it looked thin under the tree cover… around 2500’ I switched to snowshoes, thinking it would be deeper as I gained altitude.. wrong.. yesterday’s storm dumped maybe 6” tops.. 3 others on trail in spikes were NOT postholing, there isn’t enough snow to posthole.. if someone sees Winter tell her to get her as$ back here; she has unfinished business this season… I’ve seen more snow in a college dorm room in the 80’s |
