I was the only one on this trail the whole day. I wore snowshoes from the start until the descent off the ridge. They were somewhat helpful for the flat sections. On the way out without them it was like walking in sand. There are still lots of rocks from start to finish that are hidden from the fresh snow but not completely buried making footing pretty annoying. Think in the fall after the leaves have fallen. Some sections on the ridge had deep enough snow to need snowshoes, which was the best park of the hike since the rocks weren’t in the way. Hopefully some more snow this week will cover up all the rocks. |
