OBP and Liberty Springs Tr are pretty chopped up by booters, which made snowshoes challenging to use. Lots of potential for twisted ankles. Most of the snow on the well used trails was supportive in most locations for boots and snowshoes. Snow on Franconia Ridge tr between Liberty and Little Haystack is deep and isn't supportive for boots. Snowshoes are a must across this section. |
