Comments
Comments: Barebooted to almost a couple miles in, bike path and herd path are in good easy walking condition. Not a wicked ton of snowcover but good firm footing. Some mild bony parts once I hit Liberty Spring Trail, mostly due to the water still running down parts of the trail. Spikes went on and stayed on all the way to the summit and back down to just before the Flume Slide Trail junction. Brought the snowshoes but didn't need them today at least. Liberty Spring Trail was great, hard packed with a little new snow and no postholes (!!!) which was pretty incredible to *not* see. Franconia Ridge Trail was only a little rough, some awkwardly frozen spots that'll need some snow cover to even out but really nothing major. A beautiful, bright day that finally felt like winter!
