used xc skis for approach up to bondcliff trail. camped on the lower slopes of bondcliff Sunday night. Monday started early 6:30 am and followed recent ski tracks. Snowshoes would have been great, but i did not have them. Moderate postholing. Crusty snow on top of Bondcliff over to Bond. Broke trail from Bond to West Bond. Went also to the junction of Guyot campsite to check whether Guyot shelter trail was open. It was not. Bring snowshoes ! Return back non-eventful. Speedy return on the flat section on Lincoln woods trail. |
