Excellent conditions with snowshoes the entire way. Until the beginning of the loop, the trail had 4" of loose powder on top of a nicely packed smooth base of snow. Once you got above the split the snow got deeper with many spots shin deep and a couple drifts knee deep even with snowshoes.
After hiking we did XC skiing to Oliverian parking and back. (Oliverian lot is not plowed) Excellent skiing conditions also.
