Comments
Comments: I was curious how Caps Ridge would be so I ventured up to the first Cap before turning around due to the cold and the rocky conditions. Breaking trail started out easy in 6 inches of fluff with a nice firm base, until I got above tree-line and there was no base, just dangerous ankle-twisting conditions. I’m not sure if crampons would be appropriate. I was expecting the snow to be firmer around the rocks, but it was too soft.
