Trail is packed with a bit of loose powder and some ice patches going up to the lake. I wore snowshoes which gave good traction and a smoother ride. After the lake trail was less travelled till people started postholing at the wood planks. That stopped them. Then I broke it out up to the Kinsman Ridge Trail junction and then up to Cannon. Kinsman Ridge i the other direction was not broken out either. No one has ventured out that way in a few days if not more. Good 8-12 of powder. Got a little tricky on the final ascent up to where the trail meets the short trail due to the steepness and snow. But boy going down was fun, buttsledding was the way to tackle that! |
