Late start, but I wanted a workout & got one. From the lower lot, broke trail up Frankenstein Cliff, Falcon Cliff, and southern end of Arethusa-Ripley Falls Trail. There was some barebooting early on by ice climbers, but they didn’t go far. Snow depth ranged from 6-8” to 10-12” higher up.
Arethusa Falls Trail is well packed out, the only trail I’d say is barebootable at present. The falls (highest in NH!) are totally frozen except for one open hole, where you can see the water falling. I did Bemis Brook Trail as well which had a narrow, awkward bareboot trough.
On the way out I tagged Frankenstein Cutoff out and back (haha).
