Comments
Comments: Snowshoes still very much needed, as the underlying base is not firm enough to support descending Microspikers (as evidenced by the fresh postholes installed this afternoon). Over a foot of base with a few inches of powder on top and some drifting on the ridge. Snowshoe tracks heading in both directions on the Crawford Ridgepole.

Squam Lake is iced over.

Partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures dropping into the teens.
