Comments
Comments: Snowshoes all the way today. There's a nice track going but still a little bit of snow that could/should be packed down by more snowshoe traffic. There's a few rogue postholes on the edges but not overly frequent. Hancock Loop Trail up to North has a couple small areas that are slightly rough, the evidence of the struggle it takes to get up or down the steep trail. It definitely took time to make it up that last section. The loop trail to South was clearly broken out. I was tempted but night was falling, temps were dropping and I figured my energy was best used in heading down at that point. Small branches are at face level now, trees are snow covered and easy to brush up against. Overall trails are in good condition. The moonlit winter woods were magical on the way out!
