| Comments: |
Trail is in nice shape. Solid snow base of ~2 ft deep off trail, snow is packed down well. Micro spikes up to the trail junction with wild cat ridge trail, then snow shoes up and down to parking lot. You will want your televators on the steep sections, but snow is packed enough for good traction up and down the ridge. Sticking to the side coming down the ski trail is a bit rough on feet due to the sideways slope and firm surface. Cold and windy today with -2F on the ridge. But mostly protected by the trees so overall a good choice for a bitter cold windy day. |
