Comments
Comments: Cold! Started out in a bit of a snow squall with decent winds. Once we got into the evergreens things calmed down and it was a pretty decent day with good views at the summit. Trail was in immaculate shape on the way up. Passed about 6 people coming down as we were going up, all laying it down with snowshoes, from the parking lot through the engine hill bushwhack, ISO express, and Davis Path to the summit. Our group of 4 added to this perfectly packed trail. However, on our way down, as we got about halfway through Engine Hill again, we came across a roving band of hooligans hell bent on causing chaos. The pristine trail had been turned into mayhem with whole stretches just destroyed with deep post holes. The only saving grace is they had enough sense to turn around before they tore up the whole way, but the first half of engine hill and various parts of Rocky Branch are now in rough shape thanks to these clowns. I try to stay out of the snowshoe debate but common sense did not prevail today.
