Buluebird day; views from ledges were as clear as can be. Well-packed snowshoe trench for first mile+, then gradual progression to obvious but loose trail toward summit; some loose areas required a slide for a few feet. Otherwise, beautiful snowy forest. Trail is well marked over most of the course, although the tightly undulating section behind the summit would have been very difficult to follow after new snow unless someone had snowshoed that section. Evidence of only one determined bb'er throughout with some foot deep postholes. SNOWSHOES.
Only saw a few people. Nice dry, crisp air and sunshine, especially on southeast open ledges which was The Place for a small lunch break.
