Great day to be out. Spikes to ridge then snowshoes across the ridge - most had snowshoes. One without snowshoes had some potholes, each to their own. We got to the ski area too fast so we had to wait (we expected to wait till 4) and were told we couldn't go down till 4:25, 4:30 (maybe a weekend thing) - others were told at the bottom that 4 pm was the time to go down - who knows. We headed down at 4:10, wind had picked up and no one was coming off the lift, saw no skiers except ski patrols clearing the trails. Supposedly as soon as the orange flag comes (last skiers of day) up you can go down. Hopefully you'll time it better than we did. |
