Great day for Isolation. Rocky Branch is packed well, with some loose powder in some sections, so snowshoes are recommended and encouraged. Engine BW is the winter Rocky Branch, as no one ventured on at that split. The previous report of "hooligans post holing and messing us the trail" was correct. Some deep ones out there. But many people one the trail with snowshoes doing repair work, so shouldn't be an issue. I skipped ISO BW on the way up, river crossing was fine with a easy jump. Took ISO on the way down and that crossing was more a leap of faith as it was detoriating. Great day all in all. |
