| Comments: |
Nineteen Mile Brook trail was hard packed with occasional post holing if you veered to the sides. Snowshoes were required almost immediately turning onto Carter Dome Trail. Carter-Moriah trail up to Mt Hight was unbroken. We were a party of 10 with snowshoes that broke the trail. Trail was very loose, snowshoes were a must. Unbroken trail and snow drifts between Mt Hight and Carter Dome Peaks. Loose powder on the Carter-Moriah trail all the way down back to the Nineteen Mile Brook trail. We glissaded the steep parts. Some powdery post-holes at the beginning of the Nineteen Mile Brook trail south of the hut. Snowshoes weren't needed shortly after and for the rest of the way back to the trail head. |
