Very nice day in the woods, and it is an exceptionally pretty woods. Rick and I wore snow shoes for the entire hike. The entire route to the cabin was a well defined trench, with just the occasional bare boot post hole, and it is now even a bit better track. The track from the cabin to the peak was drifted over in areas, but we re-established the snowshoe trench going over to the peak and back. The only problem with doing Cabot for us is that the 7 hours of RT driving time is longer the the 6 hours of hike time. |
