| Comments: |
There wasn't very much snow at the parking level, but our snowshoes became quickly necessary, especially on the High Ridge Trail. Couple of old postholes and snow drifts. We broke the trail starting from the Turtleback mountain trail/High Ridge Trail junction to Faraway. We bushwhacked some sections to avoid the unnecessary mileage in the long switchbacks. The Mt Roberts Trail was hard packed.
Except for a couple of hikers in the parking lot, a guy on top of Bald Knob and some snowmobiles, we didn't see a single soul on the trail! Peaceful and fun hike! |
