A quick tracing trip for the dog (71% for the Belknap Range Trails).
I did not bring or use snowshoes, but I recommend spikes. The winter shortcut is more well traveled than the main trail, but there were no traction/postholing issues on either. Some ice was found above the intersection with the Ridge Trail, but it was soft enough for my spikes to easily get purchase in the afternoon. |
