Comments
Comments: Today was hikers choice, saw bare trail runners, bare boots, micro spikes and snow shoes. Trail is well pack but soft on top. All traction options would work. At least two large and well equipped butt sliding party’s came by. Trail is well groomed to the shape of the last sled. I used snow shoes and had excellent grip both up and down. And snow is deep enough to get some nice cushion on the down hill by wandering into the woods with the snowshoes. Snow is in good shape and up high there is no signs of all the recent rains. If you go just a bit off trail you will post hole at least 2ft down. I expect it will freeze up tonight and be fine for micro spikes tomorrow [but there is more snow in the forecast, so bring snowshoes]. Very nice up top with trees covered in snow, all winter like. Does not look like the access from Tripoli rd is broken out at all.
