Comments
Comments: We used snowshoes start to finish after walking across the bridge. Only saw two other hikers all day. Both in snowshoes. Trails were in good condition except for a some post holes. These ranged from a few inches to a few feet deep. Not sure how but someone postholed only with their right foot the entire way up to South Twin. Beautiful undercast from just below the summit of South Twin. Surprised how quiet the trails were. No fresh tracks seen from Galehead. There were snowshoe tracks heading down the Twinway. There is a good snowshoe track on North Twin and North Twin Spur trails except between the Fire Wardens Trail and the North Twin trailhead. Looks like a few bare booted from Fire Wardens Trail and churned up the snowpack. Recommend snowshoes.
