| Comments: |
The road walk on Zealand Road wasn't bad, the snow is packed down and made for easy going in snowshoes. There is a decent packed trench building up on Hale Brook Trail to the summit with sporadic postholes mostly on the lower section. There is still some "give" to the snow so snowshoes good for the round trip. The first switchback at approx. 3050' elevation has some snow drifts but the hikers today carved the trail back out. Overall pleasant winter weather with low wind and decent snow conditions. |
