Comments
Comments: I did the loop to Peaked clockwise. Trail to the lower split of Peaked and Middle trails was well packed and firm. Peaked trail on the backside had many postholes that were firmed up, which made for a lumpy ride. The trail up the summit cone was more flattened. The trail coming down Middle trail was about the same as the back side of Peaked, but having more traffic, was a little wider. Much easier going up than coming down. Since the trails were firmed up do to the cold night, one had to step into the previous tracks for better footing. I wore my spikes the whole way. Snowshoes wouldn't have done very much to smooth out the trail until it softens a bit.
