| Comments: |
Spikes or snowshoes, whatever you prefer until the next storm. I hiked Greeley Ponds Trail, spikes were fine, fresh inch of snow over a packed trail with a few postholes from the weekend present but easily avoided. It looks like everyone else today took the XC Ski Trail to the Mount Osceola Trail junction, which looked solid and smooth. If hiking ski trail remember wear snowshoes.
Mount Osceola Trail is well packed with no drifts, the steeps have grippy snow so you can get a good bite with spikes or snowshoes, and there are some trees to lend a helping hand here and there.
No views but the weather was pleasant making for a relatively straight forward hike of the O's. A few others out enjoying the quite morning on the trails and it was good to see some familiar faces I hadn't seen in a year or two. |
