What a day! Decided to stay off the windy ridges and was rewarded with an easy stroll start to finish. Barebooted to Brutus, put on the spikes up to the summit, then kept them on back to Black Pond (more laziness than necessity). Barebooted back to car, shoes came along for the ride. Conditions were near perfect with a solid footbed and very few postpoles, most only if you stepped off the trail. Grab this one while the grabbing's good! |
