| Comments: |
Dusting of snow low; 2-3" higher; Not a ton of snow but enough to make the hike easier than the rock strewn trails of summer. I used snowshoes but 50-50 wore spikes- excluding the naive ones hiking to Lonesome Lake in sneakers and ankle socks.
I was alone on Hi Cannon-- had no ice; just punch stepped on ladder. Lots of low hanging branches with snow to fall down one's neck. Easier than KRT
Kinsman Ridge had the usual ice on the dicey section that sucked hiking down. Some still attempt to navigate without traction but apparently no calls for a rescue so none of my business
Lonesome Lake trail was its usual highway traffic..... Hut full and noisy |
