Comments
Comments: A mix of postholes and firm snowshoe track for the first mile, then near perfect hard and fast snowshoe track to the summit. The Ridge Trail section to the Ragged High Point by the Ski Lift that begins 1.25 miles from the trailhead may have more undulations than Augusta National. That and the flying chards of ice that were falling down upon me due to the wind gusts definitely made this a fun and entertaining hike. It occurred to me that Ragged was a truly appropriate name for this mountain.

Lots of skiers out today. Every 6 person chair that I watched come up for about 10 minutes was full. Wven enjoyed some brief conversations with a few skiers who were enjoying the day. Spectacular views north of the Whites in all their glory.
