Comments
Comments: Third hike of the day after Bog Mtn and Butterfield Pond. Directly across from the park & ride is the gate and the route the guidebook describes. I followed this road at easy grades, very quickly reaching the lookout. I barebooted but the trail is so well packed that it's icy underneath and spikes would've been perfect here. Saw some others out. Nice view of Ragged and Lake Sunapee from the summit. On the way down, rather than bear right in a clearing, I continued straight to Davis Hill Rd where others had parked and walked up and walked the road back (0.1mi) to my car. Gaia had me at 1mi, 150ft of gain, 21min.
