| Comments: |
I carried only microspikes but I wish I had crampons for that climb up to East Osceola. Many people on trail, include myself, were struggling for traction on the steep parts. A combination of the ice being too hard and the snow on the top of the ice was unstable. It made climbing up really hard because you kept on sliding backwards. And going down was basically skiing. I heard people were just doing butt slides. So honestly, i wouldve loved to have crampons for these specific conditions. But, hey, I made it! (carefully) |
