Comments
Comments: Beautiful bluebird winter day on Mount Flagg's Gorilla Trail. The trail was packed down all the way but not really smooth. Shallow postholing on top of snowshoe tracks. Easy for microspikes. Be careful of a false trail between the false summit and the actual summit. Once you start heading over to the actual summit you'll go down a short steep pitch and at the bottom of that be sure to turn right. Don't follow the trail to the left like we did or you'll bushwhack your way most of the way to the summit. Someone missed the trail after the last storm. Snowshoes came in handy on part of the bushwhack and on the trail between the two summits, but we could have done without them. If things warm up, however, bring your shoes.
