Webster Jackson Trail was very well packed making for a spikes only ascent of Jackson. Between Jackson and Webster there were drifts, soft snow and a lot of downed trees from heavy snow making it quite an adventure. Definitely tough if you're tall ???? Snowshoes would definitely be helpful on this section to pack it down and prevent the ankle twisting post holes we encountered. Trail down from Webster back to the junction was well packed. The steep drop to the waterfall was slick and icy and required slow and easy going - there are exposed rocks so falling would hurt. Overall a superb day in the Presi's! |
