What a great day to be in the Northern Presis! Blue skies, mid 20 temps, very little wind and packed trails. Conditions were perfect today.
Microspikes door to door. Most folks had snowshoes along for the ride, and only 1-2 were wearing them.
Valley Way is very well packed with occasional post holes which are easy to navigate around. Even with lots of traffic today it remained in very good conditions on the way down.
Airline from the hut to Adams is mostly well packed, but has a few soft spots. The final ascent has a few paths to pick from, but all seemed in very good condition with minor drifts.
Osgood is also in good condition, although there are a few more drifts that require some navigation. Even then microspikes and a few well placed steps were all that was needed.
Grab these before the next storm comes - conditions are outstanding! |
